Paul Foot (1937-2004) was a British investigative journalist known for his relentless pursuit of justice and exposure to corruption. A staunch socialist, he wrote for Private Eye and The Guardian, uncovering political scandals and miscarriages of justice.

His work on cases like the Bridgewater Four and Lockerbie bombing showcased his commitment to truth. Foot was also a vocal critic of capitalism, authoring books such as Who Killed Hanratty? and The Murder of Stephen Lawrence.

A lifelong campaigner for workers’ rights and press freedom, he remains a revered figure in British journalism.
